Have you ever met anyone who gobbles up information like a hot commodity?  Someone so hungry for knowledge and self improvement that they are unstoppable at whatever they strive to achieve?  Sean is one of those very keen individuals.   We think he’s noteworthy and are excited to have him as our April Rider of the Month.  As you can tell by the video below, we aren’t the only ones to acknowledge his special story:

Sean’s riding career started less than three (3) years ago at a TEAM Arizona Basic RiderCourse.  In that very short period of time he’s amassed a collection of motorcycles, including:

  • 2016 Kawasaki Concours 1400 for commuting
  • 2008 Suzuki GSXR-600 custom built for track days and racing named Predator
  • 2009 Kawasaki Ninja 650 named Juanita for all-around fun

While he can’t quite put his finger on why he loves to ride, he knows what intrigues him about it:

The technical aspect of riding challenges me the most. Learning to truly be in control of the bike, feeling and “listening” to the information the bike is feeding you through the bars and pegs. It’s a tough sport!

When asked if he wished he would have changed anything about his riding experience, like riding sooner, he was definitive in his response:

I didn’t know how to operate a motorcycle before the class. I have enjoyed every ounce of learning and experience that I have gained from riding.  I wouldn’t trade any lesson or hardship for prior knowledge.

One element upon meeting Sean is his drive and motivation to improve himself on a motorcycle and to gobble up new experiences.  When we asked him what he thought motorcycling and the future had in store for him, he was emphatic:

I want to win some amateur races in my 30’s and eventually ride around the world in my 40’s!

Sean, we want you to do all of those things and more.  We’re happy you chose TEAM Arizona as your resource to ride.  We can’t wait to hear the stories!

  1. I agree with him completely! I’m a total nerd and doubling down on a full time Masters degree level, I’m a living sponge. But, when I’m riding, I’m completely focused. You feel the wind on your arms, smell the blooms in the air that you would miss in a vehicle. Not only that, it’s like riding a horse. You hear the engine, know when to shift as you feel the wind resistance, you can almost tell what speed your doing without looking down. I also enjoy the challenges that the road offers when it the grades change. Anything that was weighing on my mind before the ride, solved by the time the kickstand is up. As a Vet, certain problems can be a challenge when it’s been weighing on ones mind for years. But when your riding, it’s gone during that time. Loving the peace that riding gives you.
