RCOTM Carlos Rangel TEAM Arizona is proud to announce CARLOS RANGEL as March 2012 RiderCoach of the Month!

Carlos has been affiliated with TEAM Arizona since 2010 and has made a huge impact on folks in Tucson, Arizona, where he typically coaches.  Born in Caracas, Venezuela, his family was moved all around South and North America by IBM until they established themselves in Lexington, Kentucky, in 1968.

Carlos served in the US Air Force as a radar technician during Vietnam.  He also attended the University of Kentucky, graduated and worked for IBM.  The company eventually relocated him to Tucson, and that is where he stayed.  Currently, Carlos works for Texas Instruments in the Business Planning department.

He started riding in 2000 when his son expressed an interest in riding, followed by his daughter getting a license.  Now everyone in the family rides!  Carlos really enjoys getting everyone, especially new riders, “on the right track” for motorcycling.  He enjoys guiding new riders into a safe and fun motorcycling experience.

Here are a few interesting facts about Carlos:

  • He rides a 2009 Ural Patrol (3 wheels!) or a Rebel 450 for commuting.
  • His favorite ride is to Silver City, New Mexico.
  • For touring, he uses a 2003 Goldwing converted into a trike.

Please, take time to wish Carlos well-deserved CONGRATULATIONS!  We here at T.E.A.M. Arizona are proud to have him as part of the family!
