The Latest Methods: The BRC is the Motorcycle Safety Foundation's course of instruction developed specifically for beginning riders. The BRC makes use of classroom learning experiences and hands-on riding exercises to introduce new riders to motorcycling. The BRC takes a  gradual approach to developing a beginner's riding skills. As a result, learning to ride, while highly challenging,  is less stressful and even more fun than ever before. Overall, the course teaches key information and  manipulative skills that have always been considered crucial. The course's teaching style makes learning to ride more accessible than ever before.

Become a Skilled Operator: In the Basic RiderCourse course we help you to learn: to operate a motorcycle, the best protective clothing to wear, how to avoid dangerous situations, and what's most important, how to get out of those dangerous situations that you can't avoid. You are shown how to make your motorcycle perform like an extension of yourself. When you reach the end of the Basic Rider's Course we'll be challenging your skills at the two-year rider level. Upon successful completion of the course and tests you'll be qualified to have the motorcyclist's endorsement added to your driver's license. The best part is that you don't need to have a motorcycle, we'll provide you with a bike, helmet, even gloves. This course is scheduled every week and weekend.

Get your license: Riders who successfully complete the Basic RiderCourse will be exempt from Arizona's written and on-cycle license tests. They are also eligible for discounts on motorcycle insurance from many major insurance carriers.

Content: Classroom, including tests & MVD test exemption: 5.5 hours, Riding Skills Development: 10 hours

For Experienced Riders: Skills for Life, The Experienced RiderCourse

No matter how long you've been riding, the Experienced RiderCourse is still the tool to polish your riding skills.

All types of riders: This 5 hour course is designed as a street survival checkup and is intended for licensed riders who have six months or more of current riding experience. You'll work with other riders like yourself and you'll see all types of bikes; cruisers, sport bikes and touring machines.
Sharpen your skills: The ERC will help to sharpen your street riding awareness and will hone your street survival riding skills. This is not a high performance riding school. It is intended to help you to polish those skills that motorcycle accident research has shown were lacking in those riders who crashed.
Everyday riding skills: You'll learn advanced cornering techniques, quick swerving and avoidance techniques, countersteering, traction control, emergency braking for curves and slippery surfaces. Skills that you will be able to use riding to the corner store, or cross-country.
It's to your advantage: After all, you tune up your motorcycle in order to maintain it in top operating condition, why not do the same for yourself? Think of the ERC as a check up with your doctor. Ideally, there's nothing new, but if problem is spotted you 'll be glad that you have taken the time to improve your riding "health".
It Pays to learn: Motorcyclists who complete an ERC are eligible for discounts on motorcycle insurance from many major carriers.
Your bike. You must ride your own motorcycle for this course (any size or type).

Advanced: More Opportunities to Improve: Additional Course Options

Skilled RiderCourse

The Number One Choice of clubs: The SRC combines the riding exercises from the ERC with a specially designed classroom session. Topics of discussion are Rider's Risk, Planning and Strategies, and Advanced Riding Control.
A Realistic Look: The Skilled RiderCourse takes a look at aspects of riding in which we know that experienced motorcyclists are often lax. We discuss riding crashes and their causes. The riding exercises will sharpen your everyday riding skills, and the classroom information will get your brain into gear.
Nuts and Bolts: This class will go well beyond "how" and into "why". Although this is not a racing or high-performance class, we'll discuss the advanced level concepts involved with motorcycle maneuvering and control.
By Special Request: This SRC is not a regularly scheduled class. The SRC is scheduled by request from riding groups and clubs. T.E.A.M. Arizona will custom tailor the content of the course to best fit your group's needs.

High Performance Riding Opportunities

When you are ready to ride beyond the confines of our Motorcycle Safety Foundation course structures, we'd like to recommend the following options:

For Formal Training: Periodically T.E.A.M. Arizona hosts advanced and high performance riding schools such as Keith Code's California Superbike School. Call us for more information.
T.E.A.M. Arizona's Own: There are also on-track riding opportunities offered through AZTrackTime. These are closed track sessions that are open to small groups of riders. TrackTime provides an excellent opportunity for high-performance riding away from most of the dangers of the street. At TrackTime we have the course for the entire day, and everyone has the same idea, motorcycles!
Not Just for Racers: TrackTime is open to all riders on any type of motorcycle. In addition to being a lot safer than street racing, a day of track time will cost you less than one hefty speeding ticket. On the track is the proper place to explore your riding skills at real-world speeds, something that you just cannot do anyplace else.
Expert Staff: T.E.A.M. Arizona has an expert staff that you just will not find elsewhere. Every one of our On-Track Instructors has many years of motorcycle training and racing experience. They are also the exact same teachers that you met when you took one of our regular riding classes. You will have full confidence in their expertise, ability, and training.
